The 2025 Purple Lady Winners
The 2025 Purple Lady Winners are here—Unveiled City by City!
The International Hairdressing Awards once again brought excitement and emotion to the global stage with their now-iconic World Tour — a signature tradition of the IHAs that the industry awaits with great anticipation each year. From March 28th to April 5th, IHA founder and director Mikel Luzea and global ambassador Sergi Bancells hit the road to personally surprise the winners of the 2025 edition, with each reveal streamed live on Instagram (@ihawards) to an audience of thousands.
This immersive, face-to-face celebration is more than a series of award announcements—it’s a heartfelt tribute to the artistry, dedication, and global spirit of the hairdressing industry. And to make the moment even more unforgettable, each winner received a surprise gift this year: a pair of Artero DNA scissors, uniquely personalized and custom-molded to fit the shape of their hands — a meaningful tool for those who create with them every day.
This year’s winners represent the full spectrum of talent and innovation in the industry. In London, Matteo De Vita of Toni&Guy received the Best International Women’s Commercial Collection, a standout win for the 27-year-old rising star whose fresh approach captivated the jury. In Valencia (Spain), Daniel Gallego earned the Best International Men’s Commercial Collection for his refined vision of modern masculinity. Efi Davies of Toni&Guy (UK) was awarded the Best International Avant-Garde Collection for the second year in a row, cementing her status as one of the most daring and creative forces in hairdressing today.
The Carlos Valiente Art Team (Valencia, Spain), known for their consistent excellence and team synergy, was honored with the title of International Artistic Team of the Year during a heartfelt visit to their hometown of Alzira. In a special nod to hairstyling in entertainment, Erika Okvist and her team were named International Film & TV Hairdresser of the Year for their stunning work on 'Bridgerton – Season 3', where period drama met modern finesse. The tour continued in Munich (Germany), where Christoph Filser was recognized as International Hair Influencer of the Year. His blend of humor, authenticity, and entrepreneurial insight has positioned him as a leading voice in the digital hairdressing space, both in Germany and around the world.
In Paris, a historic moment unfolded as the International Hair Legend Award 2025 was presented not to an individual—but for the first time—to an organization: Intercoiffure Mondial. Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the association was honored for a century of elevating global standards, craftsmanship, and community, bringing together over 2,000 members operating in 3,000 salons across 37 countries and 6 regions, uniting a global network of 45,000 top-level stylists who collectively serve more than 11 million clients each month. The tour concluded in Madrid (Spain), where Jorge X was crowned International Hairdresser of the Year—a landmark win as he became the first non-British hairdresser to receive the title in the award’s seven-year history. With his visionary approach and global mentoring through his Quantum Hair project, Jorge represents a new era of artistry and leadership in hairdressing.
After this world tour, the 2025 International Hairdressing Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 21st, during the HairCon event at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. This highly anticipated celebration promises to be an unforgettable evening of glamour, talent, and recognition, bringing together the world’s top stylists and industry leaders for a dazzling night of inspiration and awards.
